Social

DW Property considers it important how people are treated, both within and outside the organization. This applies to our employees, our customers, our suppliers, and also the community in which we operate. Our employees are the heart of the company. For the organization, it is important to have a strong reputation, so that our customers and shareholders have confidence in how we conduct our business.

“We are convinced that differences make our organization stronger and more resilient. DW Property stands for equal opportunities for everyone. We strive for an inclusive culture in which differences are recognized, valued, and used in a positive way.” Jan Willem Weissink, CEO DW Property

Human Resources

Corporate social responsibility is the foundation of our organization. We take care of our people. We provide a safe working environment in which equality, well-being, and development are central. Each year, we assess employee satisfaction. Meetings are organized to discuss employee satisfaction, evaluate improvement initiatives, and launch new objectives. Team-building activities are organized regularly, and successes are celebrated together. Taking good care of people is the best guarantee of sustainable success.

Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

DW Property aims to promote diversity in the composition of its workforce and equal pay for equal work. Our goal is to achieve a balanced representation of men and women across all roles. We actively work toward this objective.

Age Groups

The composition of age groups within DW Property is comparable to the age distribution of the overall working population in the Netherlands and Germany. We encourage the inflow of young professionals and offer ample opportunities for broad professional development. At the same time, we value the retention of knowledge and experience and strive to keep experienced professionals within our organization.

Gender Distribution

Half of the members of our Supervisory Board are women. The proportion of women within the organization’s executive management is largely in line with the overall gender distribution within the organization. This proportion is, however, slightly lower than the distribution across the company as a whole, due to the relatively small number of board members and low staff turnover. The male–female distribution within the Dutch and German organizations is virtually the same.

Pay Gap Analysis

DW Property does not differentiate between men and women in terms of remuneration. However, the total number of employees within the organization is limited. Employees are spread across two countries and five departments, each consisting of four job levels. As a result, there is an insufficient basis for conducting a role-specific pay gap analysis.

Tenants

We work toward a future-proof organization, and a strong reputation is important in order to remain attractive to our tenants and shareholders. Our tenants are the foundation of our organization’s success. We offer our tenants privacy and fair treatment. Satisfied tenants contribute to sustainable real estate and a stronger organization.

To measure how our tenants experience their building, home, or our services, we conduct an annual tenant satisfaction survey. We do this to gain insight into what is working well and what can be improved. As part of the survey, tenants are asked to provide feedback on overall satisfaction, communication, property management, and responsiveness.

DW Property communicates with its tenants through the property manager NMG. Upon moving into the property, each tenant receives a user manual that explains how to optimally use the heating system, hot water, ventilation system, and waste separation facilities. In this way, our tenants are informed about how to make the best possible use of the sustainable concept of the homes. The user manuals are specifically tailored to the type of property the tenant is renting. In addition to personal contact, the property manager uses various social media channels to share general information and news with our tenants.
